1.
Hide 02:59
And I hold on To everything that I've grown from Leave me to die in your arms Heart open wide and the raindrops Stop just to fall from your eyes Tearing me out Of me These memories they feel so different
2.
New June 02:39
Spinning endlessly Silence you can keep I'm biting on my tongue so I can savor words you speak I don't want to Find myself asleep beside this new you Why can't we admit we made mistakes We made mistakes I don't want to Find myself adrift inside this new June Why can't we admit we made mistakes Guess it's time I disappear Lie awake
3.
Leave 04:07
Binding ties I can't escape from Tempered words that rest in my lungs Take my hand Wish I'd leave this place forever Shifting blame within, within Break away from me, if you can Break away from me And show me who you are Binding ties I can't escape from Tempered words that rest in my lungs Hate myself Will I feel this guilt forever Holding blame within, within
4.
Wait 03:45
Save your words for another day I see right through Everything, when you look away Makes me cry, wish you'd know what I feel too Stepping stones, slowly dissipate Summer breeze folding Between you and me Wish away The love we can't escape Caught in everlasting gaze That holds the truth Motionless Eternity's in you Take My hand again And I'll stay here With you
5.
Arreis 03:49
It’s hard to see that you have changed Into the things you used to hate But what's my worth if you're awake To see me slip away Close your eyes and hold me under, again Swallowed pride and feeling hollow, again The images shift in your wake And in your depths we crawl and scrape I'm picking up what's left of me If only you could see
6.
Lavender 04:53
Guilt-ridden Fractures deep and scars hidden The lies we live 10 years past Now we all walk different paths But you've come back Now you're here with me Wishing things could be When I look in your eyes I see lavender skies Now you're here with me Mending ties between us Without you at our sides The lavender cries The lavender cries Please let go Broken pieces of your ghost That we hold close Leave your fears The regrets and blame held near Disappear I'll miss things here
7.
I reach for you And then you reach for me It's warmer beside you It's warmer beside you And I'd like to hold you If everything’s perfect But what I hold on to Is seemingly broken And I'd like to hold you And I'd like to hold you And I'd like to hold you If everything’s perfect But what I hold on to Is seemingly broken
8.
I'm swimming in circles Feel it bloom in my soul But what Is the purpose To dig me out of this hole Some nights I feel a weight Like concrete tied to my waist And I'll fall forever, and I'll fall forever And sink Like memories stuck in my brain That loop back and every frame It feels like a lifetime, it feels like a lifetime To me
9.
Bleed me like an animal You need to survive Everything blu Burst forth from you Slipping through my fingers The being that will linger In tarnished faith Staring at the ceiling Searching for a feeling Some feeling
10.
Wish 04:13
And I feel like I Could fall from tomorrow Into the sky and never turn away More, she said Enough to feel complete Torn to shreds, there's nothing left of me Far away To erase I'm caught inside your reach

about

RAD-070:

In the midst of a vibrant resurgence in guitar music, Day Aches emerges as a compelling force, rekindling the raw authenticity that fueled rock's potent reign. Roaring to life from the diverse Virginia/DC hardcore scene, the band, led by guitarist and vocalist Drew Lambert, crafts a unique fabric of emotion through introspective and dynamic soundscapes.

Their debut LP, "One Last Dream Before Dying" surfaces as a poignant and immersive journey through the landscapes of decay, growth, and transformation. Each track on this album, carefully crafted and meticulously arranged, delves into the intricate emotions that accompany the unraveling of relationships and the passage of time. From the haunting opening of 'Hide,' which paints a psychedelic picture of loss and acceptance, to the emotionally charged crescendo of 'Wish,' where fuzzed-out reverb-laden guitars and roaring vocals intertwine to convey the never-ending longing, the album's sonic tapestry becomes a mirror to the thematic core. The ethereal soundscapes of tracks like 'Lavender' and 'Merger Theory' beautifully capture the dreamy nostalgia that accompanies the idea of letting go, while 'Velvet Response' boldly delves into the depths of depression and anxiety, seamlessly blending grunge and shoegaze influences.
